Obalim Patrick Mark is the first ever church planter and community development specialist to be trained by metamorphic! Obalim’s experience at the program with the team has inspired him to develop a holistic approach to his local community and region.

Here is a little bit of what he shared after the program: ‘I want to thank Metamorphic for inviting me for the community transformation program.

I got a lot of spiritual understanding, especially from the cave / kingdom lessons. I understood that as kingdom leaders we ought to be of value to the communities where we’re going. We’re to help in uplifting those communities by engaging them to participate in identifying and solving their own problems using the available resources and items in the community.

I also learnt that every community has got assets that can help them in problem solving, and the main missing link is a lack of leadership, ownership and taking responsibility.

I am now convinced that my purpose is far more than pastoring a church, it is to pastor a whole community and to empower the people that God has brought into my life. Now with the new tools that I have been blessed with I can confidently work with community leaders to bring about transformation in every level of society.

I want to thank Metamorphic for training, equipping and empowering us to go and make a difference in our communities.’

Obalim is now working with community leaders to develop a base line survey to pro-actively bring about transformation through holistic development. They are currently creating a pathway forward to assist people with poverty alleviation, food security, clean water programs as well as other health initiatives. Education is also high on their list of issues that they intend to improve for all locals as well as identifying social issues that have plagued them for generations – and then coaching and mentoring people into freedom.
